You Don’t Get Sick Because Of Germs?

“What?!” you may be asking yourself. Let’s think about it. Germs are everywhere, on the sink, in the bathroom, in our food and in the air….everywhere. Germs are all around us, yet we aren’t constantly sick.
One person may have the flu and enter a crowded elevator and only a few people present will catch that flu. If germs were causing the sickness, wouldn’t everyone get sick?
Some studies indicate that every person has, at any given moment, cancer cells residing in their body. Yet, we are not all being diagnosed with cancer. Hmmmm.
The real reason we get sick is because of a weakened immune system. Germs are everywhere and our immune system is constantly working to fight off disease. Most of the time, it’s successful. Some of the time, it loses for a little while and then eventually wins the battle.
Germs (bacteria and viruses) cannot set up infections or disease in a body that can fight them off. They can, however, easily set up in bodies weak enough to allow them to cause problems.
So is the answer to all of our bouts with germs to seek out and destroy all germs? Clean our homes constantly, wear oxygen masks and grow our own food? How about if we shut ourselves off from the outside world completely and hope that no germs leak in? Of course not! All of those suggestions are simply ridiculous.
It makes the most sense to do things that that will help our immune system function at it’s best. Research indicates the best way to do that is with nutrition, exercise, and chiropractic care to restore a properly functioning nervous system.
All of these will boost your immune system faster than you can scrub that bathroom.
